About product
1. How long will my companion doll last?
Companion doll lifespan largely depends on materials and maintenance. Generally, silicone lasts longer than TPE. With proper care, your companion doll can serve you for years. View our new research about lifespan of companion doll in How Long Do Companion Dolls Last? Material Comparisons & Scientific Insights.
2. How to clean and store your companion doll
Proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage are essential for preserving your doll’s lifespan. Please read the user manual before use, or refer to our Maintenance Guide for detailed instructions.
3. How to Deal with Doll Oiling Issues
Silicone and TPE dolls have natural oils inside that keep them soft and nice to touch. When they’re made, extra oils or softeners might be added to make the material feel even better. After a while, some of that oil can slowly come out, which makes the doll feel a little greasy. How much this happens really depends on how you store the doll, how often you use it, and how you clean it. Want some simple tips to deal with it? Check them in our guide of managing surface oil leakage.
4. What is the difference between Regular Hand and Hard Hand?
The difference lies in the firmness of the material used and its resulting characteristics.
A Regular Hand (Standard Hand) is made from material with the same softness as the doll’s body. It provides a uniform, pliable feel. However, the softer material offers less definition, and the underlying finger skeleton can often be felt or seen when pressed, which may compromise tactile realism. It is also more prone to permanent deformation.
A Hard Hand is molded from a significantly firmer material. This creates sharply defined anatomical details, like knuckles, and fully conceals the internal skeleton for a more realistic appearance under pressure. It is highly resistant to deformation. The trade-off is a less soft, more rigid tactile feel.
5. What is the difference between No Standing Feet, Standing Feet, and Standing Feet Without Bolts?
The difference lies in the internal structure and the method required for the doll to maintain a standing pose.
No Standing Feet: Feet are designed for natural appearance only. They are not weight-bearing and are not intended for standing. Best suited for lying or seated use where standing support is not required.
Standing Feet: Feet are built with reinforced internal support that allows the doll to stand stably for extended periods. This option is intended for users who require reliable, functional standing capability.
Standing Without Bolts: Standing is achieved through firmer foot material rather than structural reinforcement. Suitable for short, assisted standing poses, but not recommended for long-term or unsupported standing
6. What does “ROS” stand for?
ROS stands for Realistic Oral Structure — a design concept focused on making the internal mouth area of a doll head closer to human oral anatomy, including teeth, tongue, and jaw proportions. View our article What Is a ROS Head? Understanding Realistic Oral Structure as an Evolving Design Concept for more details about ROS head.
7. How is a ROS head different from a basic silicone head?
A basic silicone head may have a simple mouth opening, but a ROS head intentionally structures the lips, jaw, teeth, and tongue to reflect real human oral relationships and allow more natural jaw movement.
8. What does ROS MAX mean?
ROS MAX is not a different category but a refined version of ROS that improves on the original design with better proportions, jaw mechanics, lip positioning, and internal structure stability.
9. What’s the difference between a hard silicone head, a soft silicone head, and a ROS head?
A hard silicone head focuses on sharp facial details, stable makeup, and durability, and it can support implanted hair. Its oral channel is typically non-functional.
A soft silicone head uses more flexible silicone, allowing a usable oral channel and a more skin-like feel, but it is generally not recommended for hair implantation.
When a soft silicone head is engineered with a realistic internal mouth structure—such as defined lips, teeth, tongue, and jaw mechanics—it is referred to as a ROS (Realistic Oral Structure) head, representing a more anatomically developed soft head design. The article Hard Silicone Head vs. Soft Silicone Head: Which Doll Head is Right for You? has a very detailed explanation about hard head and soft head.
10. Can I Spray Perfume or Cologne on My Companion Doll?
It is recommended to apply perfume or cologne to the doll’s clothing rather than directly onto its body. Most fragrances contain alcohol, which is not advised to come into contact with silicone or TPE materials. Additionally, scents can absorb into the doll’s material over time and may cause damage to the skin.
